Chair Yoga for the Over 50’s in Bishop’s Stortford - A slow and easy session designed for complete beginners. This class helps to improve strength and conditions all major muscle groups. This is designed specifically for people with Arthritis, Back pain, M.S, chronic joint pain and reduced mobility.

Classes are held every Friday from 11 am - 12 pm at St Michael’s Mead Community Centre, Turner’s Crescent, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 4FZ. Just drop-in.

Chris Crooks is an experienced BWY and CYQ Yoga Teacher, a specialist in the field of Hatha Yoga, Postnatal Yoga and Chair Yoga. She is also a certified ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist and has worked in a variety of clinic settings as a Rehabilitation Specialist in Herts & Essex. She has successfully completed the Postnatal Yoga course at Tri Yoga. Classes are at a gentle pace, with a focus on deep breathing, stretching, strengthening and conditioning techniques. She will provide guidance and modifications for all levels of practice so you can decide what feels best for your body.

Access2Yoga aims to improve the health and wellbeing amongst older people and mothers who may be reluctant to join a group because of their age, health condition, size, ability. Older adults and mums often struggle to find an exercise routine that’s low impact and offers physical and mental benefits.

Yoga for the over 50’s and Postnatal yoga classes are the perfect way to stay in shape and offers numerous benefits such as strengthened bones, improved balance, and better sleeping habits, it helps to reduce anxiety and depression.

Please bring a mat and a small towel or cushion to support you and ensure you are able to feel comfortable and relaxed.

A gentle, chair based yoga class to help improve joint mobility, flexibility, strength and conditioning exercises to help improve your wellbeing.

Post natal Yoga

Helping to strengthen the pelvic floor and to rebuild core awareness. During our postnatal yoga classes, we will guide you through a series of yoga poses and yogic breathing exercises designed to relieve tension, and to help alleviate anxiety. Babies are welcome!
