Sharing your practice with your child

A post-natal yoga class helps mums on so many levels – physical, mental and emotional. Postnatal yoga uses movement, breath and relaxation to allow you to reconnect with your body after pregnancy and birth. The physical difference it will have is on a women’s body; it will help build your strength and stamina aswell tone and condition your body. You will start to strengthen the deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor after birth and feel stronger and empowered. You will also spend some fun, quality time with your child and other mums too.

The final outcome is to move postnatal mums from fear and anxiety onto positive mental health and physical wellbeing.

NHS UK's guidance for postnatal women is that 'regular activity can relax you, keep you fit and help you feel more energetic. It can also help your body recover after childbirth and may help prevent postnatal depression.' (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/keeping-fit-and-healthy/). I hope to empower women by feeling more confident about their bodies.
